*CRRRRRRRASH*

A very loud, very close impact just occured and I am on my feet before I realize I'm awake.

"Baby, are you ok?"

"Yeah, what the fuck was that?"

"I dont know"

We look out the window...





The neighbor's house is ok, the house caught the tree in a "V" between the chimney and the roofline.

The problem is that the tree landed on the block's power/cable lines. It didn't knock them out since the house caught the tree before the line tension became so great that it ripped the cables out of the houses, but it put enough tension on them to bend the top of the telephone pole and partially rip a shutter off of our house.




Playoffs start in an hour, it's 19 degrees, snowing, and the 40-50 m.p.h. wind gusts make it feel like 2 degrees.

The city will have to shut off our power and cable to fix it.

I'm hoping they wait till tomorrow when everyone's at work, or it's gonna be a very cold, football-less day around here.

I'm gonna go build a fire
