UPDATED MONDAY, MAY 30th, 6:38 p.m.

Davis and his fucking karma.

Oh, before I get to that, this is Davis sitting across from me at one of those sweeeeet early 80's tabletop video games. This one had Ms. Pac Man and Galaga. After a drunken challenge, it was on.

Anyway, Davis lives his life improvisationally. If I was goin on a trip I'd have shit planned, the people I wanted to see would know I was coming and so forth.

Davis steps off the plane at Laguardia with no plans other than stayin with me and the girlfriend while he's here, and at some point riding The Cyclone rollercoaster in Coney Island.

6:00 p.m. - He steps out of baggage claim, lights a smoke and places a phone call.

6:02 p.m. - We're invited to a party at 9:00 in Greenpoint.

6:05 p.m. - Places 2nd call.

6:08 p.m. - People want to meet up with us in Williamsburg after said party, and invite us to BBQ in Williamsburg following day.

We get back to the apartment where the parking shortage is notoriously heinous and immediately find rock-star parking right in front of the building.

Later that night in Williamsburg, heading to Enid's bar for a beer. We step out of a cab and hear: "Shit, Davis, man!"

It's old friends T.K. and Courtney from years ago crossing the street on their way home from the store.

T.K.'s band is playing Monday night and we're invited to come see them.

Many drunken hours spent in Williamsburg, and many quarters fed into sweeeeet Ms. Pac Man/Galaga machine.

That same night we find out that one of the bouncers Davis used to work with was now playing Offensive and Defensive Line for the New York Dragons Arena Football team, and they have a home playoff game Sunday.

A message was left on said bouncer's voicemail. We're quietly hoping to end up with tickets to the game.

Results pending..........
