I'm at work, it's almost 1 a.m., and I realized that I had some serious catching up to do in the blog department. Here are some of the treasures I found:
---------------------------
From Gurg:
"Why do people like ice so much? All it is is incredibly slow water."
---------------------------
From Jaden:
"This morning I woke up to find...
-myself, naked in a mess of blankets and pillows and comforters
-my cell phone carefully balanced on top of the lamp on my dresser.
-all of my clothes in a pile on the floor in front of the toilet.
-my keys and glasses in the bathroom sink.
-the contents of my messenger bag emptied across the living room floor.
-no sign of a struggle.
Damn you alcohol!"
------------------------
And Gurg Again:
"I leaped out of the car, ran to the trunk, stopped, leaped back into the car, hit the trunk release, leaped out of the car again, ran back to the trunk, and I began flinging items aside in search of clutch fluid. Brake fluid, rather. Brake fluid is what my Tercel uses for clutch fluid, according to the manual. But either way, it was as dry as this desert. There was no oasis of brake fluid or of clutch fluid to be found in my trunk.
Having found nothing of use in my car, I resorted to "Plan B".
"Plan B" was essentially was essentially the second half of "Plan A", only slightly modified. Instead of adding the clutch fluid and then driving off, I would not add any kind of fluid and then drive off.
I knew it wasn't the best "Plan B" ever concocted, but thinking takes time. Since I had to be at the airport very, very soon, I had almost no time to speak of, and I certainly wasn't going to waste what little time I had with any unnecessary thinking."

Sorry I've been so absent lately, but it's kind of nice to sit down and read a week's worth of posts all at once, like the way I saw the Sopranos. I was down for about 4 days with the flu last year, so I borrowed the 1st 4 seasons of Sopranos on DVD and had a marathon -- 6 to 8 hours a day for 4 days straight. Screw waiting for a whole week to between episodes, just wait till the DVD comes out and watch them back to back.
Since that epiphany, I've done the same with Family Guy, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Critic, Dead Like Me and Six Feet Under.
I promise to blog this week, as I have 4 days off in a row. That's the beauty of working 40 hours in 3 days straight....loooooooooong weekends.
