It's been a long time, so it's time for a.....

--SIMPSON'S QUOTE OF THE DAY--

Bart and Milhouse get in trouble at church; Bart for switching the hymns to rock n' roll music, and Milhouse for squealing on him after Reverend Lovejoy threatens all the kids with eternal fire and torture. The Reverend has them cleaning the church organ pipes as punishment.

BART (to Milhouse): "You shank! How could you tell on me?!"

MILHOUSE: "Well I didn't want ravenous birds picking at my soul for all eternity."

BART: "Soul?! C'mon Milhouse, there is no such thing as a soul. It's just something they made up to scare kids...like the Boogeyman or Michael Jackson."

MILHOUSE: "But every religion says there's a soul, Bart. Why would they lie? What would they have to gain?"

Scene switches to Reverend Lovejoy in another room, dumping the heaping collection plates into a change counter.

REVEREND LOVEJOY: "I don't hear any scrubbing in there!"

Scene goes back to the boys at the organ.

BART: "How can someone with glasses that thick be so stupid?"
